FOUNDER, EQUIPT FOR LIFE
Daniel Howard, PT, DPT
Dr. Daniel Howard is a spine specialist and chronic pain expert who combines research-based practice with personal experience to help patients move freely and live fully.
A graduate of Davidson College and Duke University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program, Daniel takes a holistic, patient-centered approach to long-standing back pain, nervous system dysregulation, and lingering injuries.
Before his journey into physical therapy, Daniel worked as a teacher, counselor, and college basketball coach—experiences that combine to provide care that educates, empathizes, and empowers his patients. He lives in Durham with his wife Grace, their daughter Lucy, and their King Charles cavalier Klaus. Outside the clinic, he enjoys hiking, golfing, discovering music, and exploring the Triangle.
Why Choose
Cash-Based
Physical Therapy?
INSURANCE-BASED PHYSICAL THERAPY
Insurance-based clinics often require therapists to treat multiple patients simultaneously to meet quotas, sacrificing one-on-one time. A cash-based Doctor of Physical Therapy dedicates their full attention to you during every session, ensuring a more thorough and effective treatment.
TAILORED TREATMENT PLANS
Cash-based physical therapy is not bound by insurance restrictions, which often dictate the number of visits or dictate standardized protocols. This means your care plan is entirely customized to your goals, pace, and progress.
FASTER RESULTS
Because your care is one-on-one and customized, you’ll need fewer visits to get results.
Equipt for Life patients experience significant improvement in just 1.6 visits on average. That means less time commuting, less time in pain, and more time enjoying your life.
You get efficient, focused care — not a drawn-out treatment plan that keeps you stuck in the system.
TRANSPARENT COSTS
Say goodbye to surprise bills and hidden fees. A cash-based DPT provides clear pricing upfront, empowering you to make informed decisions about your care.
Investing in a cash-based DPT is an investment in your health, offering a level of expertise, focus, and flexibility that ensures you achieve the best possible outcomes.
